Roland have incorporated a waterfall keyboard design for the VR-730. Waterfall keys feature a rounded edge that allows musicians to trill and glissando between notes with ease. The waterfall design is notable with organs, but due to subtle modern adjustments, the VR-730 is instantly familiar to all musician styles. The keys are semi weighted for achieving percussive passages, as well as performing smooth, subtle pieces. The VR-730 is ideal for musicians who want extensive sound possibilities at every gig. The three generators include Virtual Tone Wheel, SuperNATURAL and PCM. Each generator has been tuned specifically to deliver the most organic sound possible. The VR-730 includes an extensive number of high-quality electric pianos in stereo quality. The 128 polyphony is combined with stereo multi sampling and results in tones full of depth, frequency balance and authentic response. This keyboard also benefits from a number of effects including tremolo, phasing and a realistic rotary.

The control panel is separated into organ, synths and effects sections for an organised look. The LCD backlit screen acts as a central hub for your tones, whilst the knobs and slides offer quick adjustments in any situation. The black background with white writing and lit indicators allow you to easily read the controls in low-lighting venues. The controls are robust and durable for lasting use time after time. The VR-730 also benefits from a DBEAM function for adding spontaneous, Theremin styled sounds.
