On the front panel the Profire 610 features 2 TRS and XLR combo preamps with M-Audio's Octane Technology producing a clear recording. Gain control with level and clip indicators are visable on both channels with selectable +48v phantom power for powering studio condenser microphones.
Two 6.3mm jack headphone outputs are also built into the front panel with independent volume control for multiple monitoring. Finally a volume knob gives you easy access the Profire 610’s master volume.
On the back panel you will find two Firewire ports - one to power the Profire 610 from your computer and the other to daisy chain multiple Firewire Audio Interfaces, easily expanding the inputs and outputs.
Featuring the same JetPLL jitter elimination technology found in expensive clocking systems and on the bigger Profire 2626 , the Profire 610's on board DSP remains extremely tolerant in the most demanding recording projects.
The software control panel allows you to create different configurations for specific recording setups that can be recalled at the click of a button.
On the back, built in MIDI I/O gives you easy access to connect external MIDI hardware devices such as Keyboards and other outboard gear.
With 8 TRS 6.3mm jack line outputs, S/Pdif i/o and a further 2 line inputs, the Profire 610 is armed with a massive amount of i/o for such a small portable interface.
Compatible with most major DAW recording software such as Cubase, Ableton and Logic the Profire 610 is a flexible Firewire audio interface suited to both project and mobile recording studios.
