Now including the latest version of the NI's Kontakt sampler; Native Instruments Komplete 8 also features state-of-the-art software synths Absynth, Massive and FM8; and the amp and effects emulation suite Guitar Rig 5 Pro.
As well as the large Kontakt 5 sample library, Komplete 8 comes with an enormous selection of additional sample libraries. You get the percussion sounds in the West Africa percussion, Studio Drummer and Abbey Road 60s Drums libraries, alongside a collection of keyboard instruments. These include the Vintage Organs and Scarbee electric piano, plus four acoustic piano libraries – Vienna Concert Grand, New York Concert Grand, Berlin Concert Grand and Upright Piano.
Synth lovers are spoilt for choice, with not only the Retro Machines Mk2 sample library for Kontakt 5, but also the powerhouse trio of Absynth, Massive and FM8. Absynth is a semi-modular synth, which is ideal for creating lush, evolving pads and rich analogue soundscapes. Massive has a simpler analogue synth concept, but is no less powerful. Perfect for crafting thick basses and driving leads. FM8 uses frequency modulation to create complex, metallic, digital sounds, a world apart from anything Absynth or Massive could create.
For the more experimentally minded, Komplete 8 comes with Reaktor 5.6, a powerful graphical programming environment that can be used to create all manner of synthesis, sampling or effects devices. Even if you don't delve deeply into the programming environment itself, the software comes with over 70 synths, sound generators and grooveboxes and can be quickly expanded from the 3000+ on the User Library.
As well as virtual instruments, Komplete 8 comes with a large selection of effects for processing your mixes – Guitar Rig 5 Pro comes with 17 amp models and 54 effects pedal emulations. These can be expanded further with the Rammfire amp, Traktor's 12, Reflektor reverb, Transient Master dynamics module and Tim Exile's The Finger – a cutting edge live performance audio manipulation effect.
