Engineered and manufactured in Austria, The OC818 is Austrian Audio’s premier, professional, large diaphragm microphone. Its high sensitivity, low self-noise and ability to handle everything from a whisper to extreme SPLs make it the most advanced microphone for studio, broadcast and live applications.
As the unique ceramic capsule design is so consistent, ANY OC818 is match-paired with ANY other OC818, and when in cardioid mode, it can also be match-paired with ANY OC18, its affordable smaller brother.
The OC818 black Dual Set Plus contains: 2x OC818 black microphones, 2x OCS Microphone Shock Mounts, 2x OCW8 Foam Windshields, 2x OCH8 Mic Clips, 2x OCC8 Mini XLR Cables + Cable clips, 1x SB1 Stereo Bar and Protective Carry Case.
OCS8 Microphone Shock Mount
The OCS8 shock mount secures the Austrian Audio OC818 or OC18 microphone and helps isolate it from mechanical noise and low-frequency rumble that can interfere with a recording or performance.
OCC8 Mini XLR Cable
This mini XLR connects to the rear membrane of the OC818’s dual-diaphragm capsule. The front membrane output is via the standard XLR plug. Working in dual mode, each diaphragm can be routed and recorded to separate tracks, making possible the post-production modification of polar patterns using our PolarDesigner plug-in.
OCH8 Mic Clip
The OCH8 clip is designed to hold the Austrian Audio OC818 or OC18 microphone securely in position. The clip comes with a ⅜ thread mount and a ⅝ adapter.
OCW8 Windscreen
The OCW8 foam windshield is a perfect fit for the Austrian Audio OC818 and OC18 microphones. It helps to alleviate problems with wind, breath noise, and plosives that can interfere with the clean re-cording of a sound source.
SB1 Stereo Bar
The stereo bar provides the ability to mount and align two OC Series microphones for use as a stereo set.
