Powerful CFX Samples
The YDP S34 Digital Piano uses samples from Yamaha's flagship 9' CFX concert grand piano. These samples offer a resonant bass with sparkling highs that will project to the back of any concert hall. The CFX samples include key-off samples which reproduce the slight change in sound when you remove your fingers from the keys. These key-off samples will match the style of your playing, reproducing staccato and legato tones. The CFX samples also recreate the string resonances that would be produced by neighbouring strings in an acoustic piano.
Stereophonic Optimiser
The Stereo Optimiser is a new kind of headphone experience from Yamaha. The Optimiser adjusts the spacing of the sounds and reproduces the sound heard when sitting in front of an acoustic piano. The Stereophonic Optimiser tweaks the samples so they appear to come from the body of the piano. This type of processing provides a more natural experience that removes the drawbacks of performing with headphones.
Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC)
At low volumes certain frequencies can be difficult to hear, especially in the extreme octaves. The YDP-S34 features Yamaha's Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) which automatically adjusts the equalisation, allowing players to enjoy balanced piano tones at any volume level.
Acoustic Optimiser
Developed by Yamaha's experts, the Acoustic Optimisers carefully suppresses any resonant frequencies to develop a smooth and natural sound across the entire range of the keyboard. This technology is only possible thanks to Yamaha's thorough knowledge of musical acoustics.
