The SPL Crimson 3 is a high-performance USB audio interface boasting a built-in 24-bit/192kHz audio converter for optimal audio fidelity. The Crimson 3 is an all-in-one interface featuring high-speed, USB 2.0 connectivity and a built-in monitor controller. The Crimson 3 builds on the success of its predecessors with the addition of a range of new features. A talkback microphone in now built-in to the system, allowing you to easily converse with artist while recording. SPL have also incorporated the Phoniter Matrix into this new model, providing speaker-equivalent listening on headphones, ideal for mixing and mastering.

Discrete Preamps

The dual, integrated discrete preamplifiers, deliver exceptional clarity and audio fidelity, capturing every nuance from your source material. The interface features 2 microphone inputs and 2 instrument inputs as well as 4 balanced line inputs for optimal versatility. This gives you everything you need to capture studio-grade recordings from instruments, vocals, keyboards and more. Combined with the built-in AD/DA converter, the SPL Crimson 3 delivers immense clarity and sheen, ensuring every recording is ready to mix.

Integrated Monitor Controller

One of the most unique features of the SPL Crimson 3 is the integrated Monitor Controller that allows you to connect and control two stereo speaker sets. This makes the Crimson 3 Audio Interface one of the most flexible USB interfaces on the market, providing an all-in-one solution for playback, processing, recording and monitoring. Two separate headphone amplifiers are also included, allowing two people to simultaneously monitor the audio; ideal for studio sessions. Additionally, you can also monitor your signal with playback or guide tracks from any source, including smartphones, MP3 players and more.

Design & Connectivity

The compact yet ergonomic design of the SPL Crimson 3 makes it ideal for every space, from home recording setups to professional studios. The large rotary wheels allow you to change your levels with unparalleled precision, giving you the ability to make subtle changes on the fly. Both USB and MIDI input connections are included as well as a S/PDIF stereo input (coaxial) for added flexibility. The Crimson 3 Audio Interface features 4-channels in total with 24-bit audio processing. The class compliant design is easy to setup, allowing you to get setup and started within minutes. The fixed master clock provides the lowest jitter possible for improved audio performance. The ‘Artist Mode’ features provides a dedicated artist cue mix, perfect for recording sessions. Additionally, the SPL Crimson 3 features convenient hot-plugging with an iOS device for recording and monitoring purposes.
