Denon SC5000 vs SC5000M DJ Media Players - What's The Difference?

Denon DJ have recently brought out an update to the SC5000 Prime DJ media player with the SC5000M, read on to find out the main differences between both!

When The Denon DJ SC5000 Prime was released it represented a real paradigm shift in DJ Technology. This groundbreaking digital DJ Media Player has a high definition, hi-contrast display that enables multi-touch gestures for the ultimate in latency-free, tactile track navigation, load and playback. The SC5000 is also the world’s first DJ Player capable of on-board music file analysis, really empowering you with its innovative dual-layer deck capability and an 8-inch rugged jogwheel with central display that displays either current playing track or custom artwork.

Now Denon have released the SC5000M Prime continuing its heritage of motorized media players. The ‘M’ (for Motorized) is, at its core, an SC5000 Prime DJ media player, already a (DJ Mag) multi-Tech Award winning unit, but now headlined with a 7”, real vinyl and adjustable torque, motorized platter. This die cast aluminum platter features ultra-high resolution MIDI (3600 ticks per rotation) performance accuracy. Added to adjustable vinyl tension for slip/scratch control, this blesses DJs with a true, mechanical spin beneath the fingertips, making their music really feel alive!
