Rackmountable for professional studio recording the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R USB 2.0 Audio Interface features 8 Octane preamps, 8 TRS outputs plus S/Pdif and MIDI i/O.
On the back of the Fast Track Ultra 8R you will find 8 combo connectors for insterting XLR and TRS jack leads, with a further 8 TRS 1/4 inch balanced analog outputs.
The din connector is for use with the included breakout cable which features both MIDI and S/Pdif connectivity, all brought together via the high speed USB 2.0 connection.
On the front panel all the channels have level indicators giving you a signal presence and clip awareness, along with gain control featuring a -20dB pad. The first two channels are switchable between the mic/line connectors on the rear, and the instrument input on the front.
Phantom power is switchable in blocks of four for recording studio condenser microphones, and the two headphone outputs give you individual level control.
One of the key advantages to using the Fast Track Ultra 8R is the software control panel, allowing you to access the on-board MX Core DSP. This then enables you to setup 4 separte zero latency stereo mix's. MX Core DSP runs separate to DAW software so you can add effects without draining any of the computers CPU.
With it's metal chasis, high sample rate and MX Core DSP control, the Fast Track Ultra 8R is a USB 2.0 audio interafce for the professional recording studio.
