Back in the Ring
If it ain’t broke. The original pedal was released in the early 90’s and has gone unchanged until now. The MT-2W retains the powerful three band EQ for highs, mids, and lows, along with the 15dB boost/cut switch. From there BOSS let their Waza Craft division get to work.
“Waza” – the Japanese expression for art and technique. They pursued the huge metal sound, while maintaining all the tools that made the MT-2 such a success. That means it keeps the premium buffer, so you always get a consistent sound.
The MT-2 Upgraded An all analog remix. Using fully analog parts, the BOSS MT-2W gives you genuinely rich sound. The unique dual-stage gain circuit from the original, has been re-built using independent analog components. That means you get an immediately responsive attack, and the sound that only analog delivers. All without losing its signature mid-range drive – so thrash fans rejoice.
What more the noise levels of the pedal have been cut massively. If you’re an ultra-high gain player, that means this pedal will only add to your sound.
Blow the Doors Off You want heavy? Trust us – you’re getting heavy. The Waza Craft upgrades have really opened up the MT-2W sound stage. The much expanded dynamics and more spacious lower mids give you a naturally huge sound. Even as you crank the gain up and up, the MT-2W keeps going and going. The low end does not lose its definition either – so when you want to chug, the MT-2W will really deliver.
You’re also getting more control. The Waza Craft upgrades mean the MT-2W responds to changes on your guitar. Subtle changes on your guitar’s volume and tone will let you really find your sound. Despite being some kind of monster, the BOSS Waza Craft MT-2W is supremely easy to control and use.
