Key Info

Boss MD-500 is a Modulation Effects Pedal that features Studio-level sound with first-in-class 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit floating point processing, and 96 kHz sampling rate

Incredible Range of Reverbs

Offering an extensive range of modulations to choose from, the Boss MD-500 Pedal delivers everything from classic chorus, flange, and phaser, to the dynamic dimension, rotary, and filter effects. The pedal also features original Boss effects, with the slicer providing the effect from their SL-20 slicer pedal, and the overtone delivering their MO-2 Multi Overtone Pedals Sound. Offering 12 modes and a total of 28 different algorithms, the Boss pedal refreshes the standard modulations with their advanced prime algorithms, enhancing their expression, extending the tonal range, and maximising transparency.

Dual Modulations & Insert Loop Function

Set the pedal in A/B simul mode to use 2 modulation patches simultaneously, opening a range of tonal possibilities. Run the two mods in series or parallel, expanding the pedals tone-shaping capabilities. An external loop is also featured on the pedal, providing the ability to connect a gain or drive pedal to provide extra tonal possibilities. Set the effects order to create a range of different tones, setting the drive/gain pedal before, after, or in between the two modulation effects.

Intuitive Control Setup

Boss’ MD-500 is designed to deliver incredible creative expression and performance flexibility, ensuring players can easily adjust parameters for simple changes or extensive adjustments. Its large LCD display ensures players can clearly see patch names, delay times, and other important information, making it easy to adjust parameters and advanced control features. Its freely assignable switches and extensive support for real-time control is perfect for a range of applications, and the MIDI I/O provides more creative possibilities and deep control options. Connect the modulator to your computer, via the USB port, and use the free MD-500 editor/librarian for remote editing, patch backup, and more.
