It's frequency response goes beyond the range of human hearing (5-40,000Hz). This means the stuff you hear sounds the best it can be. You can crank them as loud as you want too - however high the SPL, harmonic distortion is not something you'll encounter.

Listen in any context. The DT 900s have an in-built Stellar.45 driver with an impedance of 48 Ohms. Put simply, this means you'll get brilliant sound whether you are using a high grade headphone amplifier or listening straight from your phone.
This driver is the latest in beyerdynamic's technical innovations. It combines a light-weight copper coil, a three layer diaphragm and a high-grade neodymium magnet. This ensures audio reproduction fit for any location, for any equipment set up.

There's nothing worse than headphones that don't take comfort seriously. This isn't the case for the DT 900s, they feel so good to wear that the uninitiated might mistake them for ear muffs.
