So far i haven't used these for a session as it's still the first day i've had them, but just listening to music on my ipod i can hear things that weren't as obvious before. This is NOT due to boosting of frequencies as these have a flat frequency response, but because of the extended low and high ends which you can really tell it has. Also as far as i can tell, at full volume there isn't any sign of crackling or distortion. These headphones pack a punch and won't let you down.
In comparison with other reviews by sound on sound of other headphones that are up to around £80 dearer, these still came out on top. Audio Technica have really crafted these well.
5***** for Quality.
Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. i must have been wearing them for about 5-6 hours with a few breaks for dinner etc.
I am very pleased with these. I'm going to be be doing a lot of work from my laptop and although i do not have monitors and you shouldn't mix on headphones, i have faith these won't let me down, and in a review in "sound on sound" Top engineers said these transfer well to monitors and are okay for mixing.
I gave 4 stars for features as i would've liked a hard case preferably, and this comes with a soft leather type bag with strings to pull to close it and they just about fit in. But i suppose what else can you ask for when you only have to spend £109 on these bad boys!
Thank you very much!
I will be shopping here again for other equipment i'll need in the near future.
