EMU 1616M PCIe Digital Audio System

The E-MU 1616M PCIe is a PCI Express version of the company's Digital Audio Systems that feature a new high speed PCI Express 1 lane interface running at 400 Megabytes per second, which can transfer data four times faster than standard PCI in both directions simultaneously.

By using a compact 1 lane PCI Express interface, the new 1616M Digital Audio System PCIe card will have the high speed necessary for multi-channel audio transfer, compatibility with new high speed Windows PC motherboards, while allowing full compatibility with 1, 4, 8 and 16 lane PCI Express slots.

The 1616M PCIe Digital Audio System software and drivers are compatible with Windows Vista, Windows Vista x64, Windows XP and XP x64. The hardware is PCIe base specification 1.1 compliant and has been extensively tested to ensure mutual compatibility and interoperability with a wide variety of motherboards.

• The 1616M PCIe system offers a total of 16 inputs and 16 outputs plus 32 channels of MIDI I/O, including two E-MU XTC Class-A ultra-low noise mic/line/hi-Z preamps with 48V phantom power and analog soft limiting circuit for clip protection.
