PreSonus and Sound On Sound magazine have come together to stage a series of 3 free events in the UK this October. Entitled “From Riff to Release”, each event will show the audience how an artist can take a song from initial concept right through to commercial release.

The NAMM 2011 Winter Show has started with manufacturers announcing new products for 2011. The NAMM Show is one of the largest music product trade shows in the world, founded in 1901. The NAMM show is held every January in Anaheim, California, USA at the Anaheim Convention Center, and is not open to the general public, only to members of the music trade, or those who have been invited.
The acronym NAMM originally stood for the National Association of Music Merchants, but has evolved from a national entity representing the interests of music products retailers to an international association including both commercial, reseller members, affiliates and manufacturers. Therefore, the long form of the name is no longer used, and it is simply known as NAMM, the International Music Products Association. continue reading…
